Terms & Conditions.

[01]

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using CLAIMA (the "Service"), you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the operator of CLAIMA ("we", "us"). They apply to every visit to the marketing landing at claima.fun and to every action taken inside the application routes at /c, /c/new, and /c/mine.

[02]

What CLAIMA is

CLAIMA is a client-side toolkit that lets a sender lock value (currently native SOL on the Solana blockchain) inside a freshly generated "temporary wallet," encrypt the wallet's secret key with a password, and share a URL that the receiver can use to claim the funds after providing the same password.

All cryptographic operations (key generation, password derivation, encryption, decryption) happen in your browser. The URL fragment (the part after #) is never transmitted to our server; it is read by your browser only.

CLAIMA does not currently support SPL tokens such as USDC, expiry timestamps, or sender-side reclaim. The feature set is described on the marketing page and may change as the product evolves.

[03]

No custody of your assets

CLAIMA is non-custodial. We never hold your private keys, your passwords, your encrypted blobs, or your funds. The temporary wallet generated for each claim link is funded directly from your self-custodied Solana wallet through a transaction you sign in your wallet extension.

We do not have, and cannot obtain, the ability to recover, reverse, freeze, or redirect any transaction broadcast by CLAIMA. Once a claim link has been shared with a password, anyone in possession of both can drain the temporary vault.

[04]

Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • Choosing a strong password. CLAIMA enforces a minimum length and shows a strength meter, but a weak password can still be brute-forced.
  • Sharing the link and the password through two different channels. Sending both in the same message defeats the security of the scheme.
  • Storing or remembering the password if you need to recover the link yourself. CLAIMA does not store passwords on any server.
  • Verifying the network (devnet vs. mainnet-beta) you are operating on before signing transactions.
  • Keeping the security and integrity of the wallet software you use (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, etc.).

[05]

Risks

Using public blockchains involves substantial risk. By using CLAIMA you acknowledge that you understand and accept the following risks, among others:

  • Irreversibility. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. If funds are sent in error, or to a vault whose password is forgotten, the funds are lost.
  • Software risk. Bugs, downtime, or unintended behaviour in CLAIMA or in any of its dependencies may result in loss of funds.
  • Third-party services. CLAIMA relies on Solana RPC endpoints (such as Helius, QuickNode, or public Solana endpoints) and on wallet adapters. Outages or rate limits at those providers can prevent you from creating or claiming links.
  • Price volatility. The value of SOL can change quickly. CLAIMA does not insure against price movements between link creation and claim.
  • Phishing. Always verify that you are on the official domain before connecting a wallet or entering a password.

[06]

Fees & network costs

CLAIMA does not, at this time, charge any fee for creating or claiming links. The only charges are the standard Solana network fees (currently approximately 0.000005 SOL per signature) plus the amount you choose to lock.

We reserve the right to introduce service fees in the future. Any such fee will be disclosed clearly in the user interface before you confirm a transaction.

[07]

No financial or legal advice

Nothing in CLAIMA — the marketing copy, the documentation, the user interface, or any communication from us — constitutes financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. You are responsible for evaluating the suitability of CLAIMA for your purposes and for complying with all applicable laws and tax obligations in your jurisdiction.

[08]

Eligibility & compliance

You may use CLAIMA only if you are at least 18 years old and not subject to any sanction administered by a government with jurisdiction over your use of the Service (including but not limited to the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control, the United Nations Security Council, the European Union, or the United Kingdom).

You may not use CLAIMA in any jurisdiction where the use of non-custodial crypto tooling is illegal. You are responsible for confirming the legal status of your use before connecting a wallet.

[09]

Prohibited uses

You agree not to use CLAIMA to:

  • Launder money, finance terrorism, or evade sanctions or other applicable laws.
  • Process the proceeds of any criminal or fraudulent activity.
  • Attack, probe, scan, reverse-engineer, or otherwise interfere with the Service or with the infrastructure of providers we rely on.
  • Harass, defraud, or harm any other user, including by sharing claim links that purport to contain value that is not actually locked in the corresponding vault.
  • Use the Service in a manner that violates any law or regulation applicable to you.

[10]

Intellectual property

The CLAIMA name, logo, branding, copy, and code (excluding third-party open-source dependencies, each of which retains its own licence) are the intellectual property of the operator. You may not use them for any purpose that suggests endorsement of, or affiliation with, your project without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service. Because the Service is client-side, that data does not leave your device and we make no claim to it.

[11]

Warranty disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR ABLE TO RECOVER LOST FUNDS.

[12]

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE OPERATOR OF CLAIMA, ITS CONTRIBUTORS, OR ITS AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE OR YOUR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN FEES FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PRIOR TWELVE (12) MONTHS, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (US$100).

[13]

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of CLAIMA, its contributors, and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

[14]

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of CLAIMA is principally established, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

[15]

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes we will, where possible, give you reasonable notice in the user interface before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
